Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to identify the level of readiness of students towards Flipped Learning at Community Colleges. There has not been much research on students’ readiness for Flipped Learning. This research employed a survey approach using the Flipped Learning Readiness questionnaire which was administered to 35 Culinary Arts students at a Community College in the Klang Valley. Respondents’ levels of readiness were found to be highest in technology access, followed by online skills, Internet discussions, and importance to success and were lower in terms of motivation and online audio and video. The overall results show that respondents have a high level of readiness towards the Flipped Classroom implementation at Community Colleges. There was no significant difference found in the level of readiness towards the implementation of the Flipped Learning between male and female respondents. Majority of the students were not aware of the flipped classroom approach. Due to the low awareness towards Flipped Classroom, instructors and stakeholders are encouraged to introduce this new teaching and learning approach so that students can benefit from it.
