Abstract

This research intends to investigate the students’ perceptions towards the implementation of flipped classroom at a university’s undergraduate level.  A cross-sectional survey design was conducted. There were two faculties in the selected university that were chosen to conduct this research. A total of 253 students from these two faculties participated in this research. The students’ perceptions survey used in this research was based on the idea of Revised Community of Inquiry (RCOI) framework (teaching presence, social presence, cognitive presence and learner presence).   Descriptive quantitative analyses and correlation coefficient were used to analyze the results in this research. The results showed that the highest mean for the students’ perceptions towards the use of flipped classroom is the teaching presence, followed by social presence, cognitive presence, learner’s presence and the lowest mean is the social presence. The open-ended comments also had shown that many students have positive perceptions towards the use of flipped classroom.
